We are currently working with a primary school based in Bexley seeking a committed SEN Speech and Language Higher Level Teaching Assistant who has a genuine passion for working with children. This is a long-term maternity cover role, ideal for an inspirational and highly motivated Teaching Assistant with a positive attitude and a good sense of humour. Experience working with SEN students within a specialist education setting is preferred.

The successful candidate will join a supportive team dedicated to providing children with the opportunities they need to make outstanding progress in all areas of their learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

Establish a safe, organised, and stimulating environment that fosters curiosity, independence, and celebrates pupils’ achievements

Adhere to all school safeguarding policies and procedures, maintaining high standards of safety and following best practice regarding health and safety

Be aware of and implement students’ care plans, supporting their learning and development effectively

Qualifications and Experience:

Degree or Teaching Assistant qualification

Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures

Experience working with SEN students in a classroom environment

Strong classroom skills with the ability to create a positive learning atmosphere

Excellent communication skills
