Creswell School District is seeking highly skilled candidates for a Secretary I: Attendance position (4 hours per day) to join the outstanding staff at Creswell Middle School.
This position is open until filled. Applicant screening begins August 20th.
Secretary I
Position: Secretary/Attendance
Reports to: Building Principal
Job Goal:
Perform a variety of clerical and secretarial functions in support of the office of the Principal.
Make daily attendance calls.
Greets students, staff, and parents and respond to their requests in a courteous and willing manner.
Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required
College Degree preferred
Prior secretarial experience preferred
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be perform the below qualifications satisfactorily. Professional knowledge of English, spelling, composition, grammar and punctuation
Knowledge of current office practices, procedures and office management.
Knowledge of standard office equipment and machines
Knowledge of record-keeping and reporting procedures
Proficient in computer software/hardware programs and web-based student information systems, including speed and accuracy in learning to use such applications.
Be well-organized, collaborative, able to multitask, and attentive to details.
Complete tasks independently under pressure
Maintain reliability and confidentiality.
Maintain effective, positive relationships with students, staff and the general public.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintains school or district record-keeping and filing systems associated with a variety of functions, including files confidential in nature.
Enroll students and process student records and transcripts, sending records for transferring students following Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
Working knowledge of board policies, enrollment and withdrawal procedures.
Sound skills in the area of data entry and record keeping
Devises new forms, formats and procedures, as necessary.
Arranges for substitute teachers from established lists using AESOP.
Required: Successful completion of clean background check including fingerprinting
Obtain and possess a valid first aid card

*Hourly Rate according to bargaining agreement with Oregon School Employees Association (currently negotiating), 24-25 school year hourly rates listed.
