SAP S/4 HANA MM IM Lead consultant - Remote with some travel Implementation firm that works with global companies run their mission-critical systems and operations while modernizing IT, optimizing data architectures, and ensuring security and scalability across public, private, and hybrid clouds.
Title: SAP MM Lead - PUR and IM Consultant Location: Remote (Must be based in US) Duration: 12+ months
Description: Lead SAP MM module implementation and support activities, focusing on PUR and IM.
Gather business requirements, perform fit-gap analysis, and develop functional specifications.
Configure SAP MM settings for purchasing vendor management, inventory control, and material valuation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including SD, WM, and FI for integrated solutions.
Manage data migration, testing, and cutover activities.
Provide end-user training and post-go-live support.
Drive continuous improvement in SAP MM processes and system performance.
Requirements: SAP MM (PUR and IM) experience
Proven track record in at least 1-2 full life cycle SAP MM implementations
Expertise in Procurement (Direct/Indirect) and Inventory Management
Industry experience in Chemical and A&D sectors
Strong functional knowledge and communication skills

Primary skills: SAP S/4 HANA MM, IM, LEAD with some WM, SAP Certifications, Business Process Analysis and System Design, 3PL (third-party logistics) Scenarios and Warehouse Master Data, Integration and Testing
Minimum 15+ Yrs exp in implementation of SAP S/4 Hana MM , IM and WM, Greenfield implementation projects
Certified S/4 HANA – MM highly preferred
At-least 5 years of SAP related experience within SAP Product and Supply Chain
Strong SAP MM and WM Functional Consultancy and design experience
Has experience of designing end to end SAP Product and Supply Chain - MM and WM solutions
Experience with implementing an S4/HANA multi-tiered SAP environment
A working knowledge of SAP application area, and experience with SAP Activate Methodology
Ability to work with and collaborate with all Teams and Individuals in the Business Teams and the SAP Teams toward developing a best practice processes, quality and efficiencies for the project
Experience in carrying out testing and creating/maintaining test scripts
Experience in 3PL scenarios are mandatory
Experience master data setup for the Warehouses like Warehouse no, Storage types, Storage Section, Storage Bins, Bin types, Storage unit types
Extensive experience with FI/CO integration with other process modules, including Sales and Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM)
Must be able to work independently and follow through on all aspects of responsibilities, handling multiple initiatives simultaneously
Experience in documentation - Business Requirement Document / UAT document / SIT

Perform detailed analysis of complex business process requirements and provide appropriate system solutions; identify, interpret, validate and document customer requirements
Facilitate workshops to collect business requirements
Map client business requirements, processes and objectives; develops necessary product modifications to satisfy clients' needs
Design, customize, configure and testing of MM and WM modules
Identify gaps, issues and work around solutions
Act as liaison with client for troubleshooting: investigate, analyses, and solve MM/WM related problems
Document to be prepared Business Requirement Document / UAT document / SIT document / End User Manuals / Functional Specification Documents / Configuration Document etc
Has participated in at least 2-3 large information transformation engagements in Product and Supply Chain
