The Salon Business Development Manager - Central is a field sales position located in the Chicago metro area. Responsible for driving business, Nutrafol brand loyalty, and brand recognition in a defined geographic territory through new salon business development and existing salon business growth strategies. The role requires residing in the Chicago market near a major airport and frequent travel across the territory (IL, MI, IN, WI, KY, TN). Works with the Salon Director and inside sales team to grow territory and salon sales through product education, sell-in and sell-thru strategies, business consultation, merchandising, promotions, and relationship management. Responsibilities include creating relationships with salon owners and stylists, managing rotation of existing and new business, maintaining a funnel of potential new business, supporting sell-in and sell-through strategies, delivering in-salon presentations and product classes, launching new salons and retail accounts, meeting business goals, supporting retail sales through merchandising and promotions, managing meeting schedules, executing education plans, promoting and assisting in business development and educational events, and attending company meetings and trainings. Requires overnight travel up to 70%, up to 4 days per week. Requirements include a bachelor's degree or 3-5 years relevant sales and retail experience, salon professional outside sales and salon industry experience, strong communication and presentation skills, high sales drive, ability to prospect and close new business, negotiation skills, strategic and analytical thinking, service orientation, adaptability, competitiveness, collaboration, and computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, Slack, and Salesforce.
