Position Summary
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new commercial HVAC and refrigeration business opportunities. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who thrives in a client-facing, fast-paced environment and wants to play a key role in expanding market share. This position works on-site and includes a competitive base salary with monthly and annual bonuses tied to performance .
Key Responsibilities
Research and identify new business opportunities in target markets, including lead generation and prospecting.
Build relationships with property managers, general contractors, facility directors, and other key decision-makers.
Schedule and conduct sales meetings, presentations, and site visits to understand client needs.
Collaborate with internal teams (estimating, operations, and service) to develop proposals and bid packages.
Track sales activity, pipeline status, and client communications using CRM software.
Meet or exceed monthly/quarterly revenue and client acquisition targets.
Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to generate leads and promote the brand.
Maintain a deep understanding of company services, capabilities, and competitive advantages in the HVAC-R market.
Qualifications
2+ years of business development, sales, or account management experience (HVAC/Refrigeration or commercial services preferred).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar).
HVAC industry knowledge is a plus but not required. Training will be provided.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $60,000–$65,000/year (DOE)
Bonuses: Monthly and annual bonuses based on sales performance
