Job Description
Boater’s World Marine Centers is seeking a highly organized, customer-focused, and detail-driven Sales Assistant to support our fast-paced, high-performing Sales Team at our Bradenton location. This role is a critical operational position responsible for keeping deals moving smoothly, supporting sales leadership, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience from first contact through delivery.
The ideal candidate thrives in a busy dealership environment, enjoys being the “glue” that holds the sales operation together, and takes pride in accuracy, structure, and follow-through. This is a hands-on, high-responsibility role with direct impact on sales efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Sales Team by preparing, organizing, and finalizing deal paperwork with a high level of accuracy
- Coordinate customer scheduling, including appointments, test drives, follow-ups, and deliveries
- Work closely with Sales Managers, Finance, Service, and Parts to ensure smooth and timely deal flow
- Prepare, review, and process sales documentation while ensuring accurate and compliant data entry across all systems
- Maintain and manage deal checklists and process workflows to ensure no steps are missed from deal initiation through funding and delivery
- Provide consistent customer support throughout the sales process by answering questions, routing inquiries, and delivering timely updates
- Utilize the CRM daily to maintain customer records, track follow-ups, update lead activity, and help manage the sales pipeline
- Use Lightspeed (DMS) to create deals, input data, track inventory availability, and ensure proper documentation flow between departments
- Greet customers, manage showroom traffic, and ensure walk-in guests are routed efficiently to available sales staff
- Monitor inventory status, inbound units, rigging timelines, and unit availability as needed
- Assist with daily sales logs, internal reporting, and interdepartmental communication
- Help maintain organization, professionalism, and efficiency across the sales floor
- Prior dealership experience strongly preferred (marine, automotive, RV, or powersports)
- Proficient and highly accurate with data entry across multiple system
- Experience managing checklists, process controls, and compliance-driven workflows
- Experience with dealership systems such as Lightspeed DMS and CRM platforms highly preferred
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Customer-service driven mindset with a professional, proactive, and positive attitude
- Comfortable learning and navigating multiple software platforms
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-focused environment
- Strong follow-up habits and ability to keep tasks on schedule
- Flexibility to work weekends, including Saturdays, during peak seasons
- Tag & Title experience a plus
