Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Travel ICU RN to join our nationwide team of healthcare professionals supporting intensive care units across the United States. As a Travel ICU RN with Fusion Medical Staffing, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based care to critically ill adult patients in diverse hospital environments, ensuring safe and compassionate treatment while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams.

In this role, you will manage high-acuity patients requiring continuous monitoring and complex interventions, including ventilator support, titratable vasoactive infusions, central and arterial line management, and advanced cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring. You will perform thorough assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, evaluate patient responses to treatment, and promptly escalate changes in condition. You will participate in rapid response and code situations, administer medications accurately, and follow strict infection control and isolation protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients, families, and staff.

You will be responsible for accurate and timely documentation using facility Electronic Medical Record systems, clear communication of patient status during handoffs, and active participation in interdisciplinary rounds with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, case managers, and other care team members. You will educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and ongoing care needs, supporting them through critical and sometimes end-of-life situations with empathy and professionalism.

As a traveler, you will adapt quickly to new hospital settings, policies, and workflows, contributing positively to each facility’s culture while maintaining Fusion Medical Staffing’s standards of transparency, accountability, and teamwork. Assignments may vary in length and location, requiring flexibility with scheduling, floating within critical care or step-down units when appropriate, and willingness to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays based on facility needs.
