General Manager – Job Summary

As the General Manager at Muse Fresh Burgers, you will lead the overall day-to-day operations of the restaurant. This includes overseeing team performance, managing costs, maintaining food and service quality, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience. You will be responsible for employee development, inventory and supply chain oversight, and operational execution—all while promoting a welcoming, team-driven environment.


Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Leadership
  • Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant, making final decisions on matters of importance
  • Ensure smooth daily operations and uphold brand standards in cleanliness, quality, and service
  • Operate and maintain restaurant equipment and facilities to company standards
  • Enforce proper safety and sanitation procedures throughout the restaurant
  • Implement and uphold all company policies, procedures, and service levels
Financial Management
  • Monitor and manage food, beverage, labor, supply, and utility costs to maximize profitability
  • Complete all required financial reporting, invoicing, and payroll administration accurately and on time
  • Work closely with the ownership team to review performance, set goals, and implement strategic initiatives
Food Safety & Planning
  • Enforce sanitary food handling and kitchen cleanliness standards
  • Ensure consistent food quality and service through adherence to recipes and portion control
  • Estimate food and supply needs, place orders, and coordinate deliveries
  • Minimize waste and optimize inventory management through accurate planning and regular counts
Guest Experience
  • Lead and model exceptional guest service at all times
  • Address and resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally
  • Promote a positive dining experience that encourages return visits and word-of-mouth marketing
Team Management
  • Hire, train, and develop hourly team members and shift leaders
  • Conduct orientation, set expectations, and provide continuous coaching and feedback
  • Evaluate team performance and conduct regular performance reviews
  • Prepare schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels across all shifts
  • Foster a positive team culture that motivates and retains top talent
Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure the safety of employees and guests by maintaining a secure environment
  • Promptly complete incident reports for any injuries or unsafe conditions
  • Enforce policies related to health, safety, and legal compliance (local/state/federal)
Community Engagement
  • Build a strong presence in the local community through active involvement and representation
  • Encourage team participation in community events and outreach initiatives
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Restaurant Management, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of restaurant management experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and point-of-sale systems
  • Strong understanding of restaurant functions: inventory, scheduling, food safety, labor, and cost control
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Must pass a background and credit check

Supervisory Scope
  • Direct oversight of 10+ employees per shift
  • Responsible for team scheduling, discipline, coaching, and development
Working Conditions
  • Average workweek of 50 hours, with flexibility required for emergencies or coverage
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods, bend, lift up to 45 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks
  • Will operate kitchen and office equipment (hot/cold appliances, POS, computers, printers, etc.)
  • Must be available to assist in all areas of the restaurant as needed, including deliveries
