Description
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Rental Services Shop Technician to join our team. This position involves hands-on work with portable HVAC equipment, including servicing, repairing, delivering, assembling, disassembling, and picking up units. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safety Compliance: Follow all company safety protocols while operating equipment and handling materials.
- Service and Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on portable HVAC units to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on-site or in the shop.
- Logistics Support: Load and unload HVAC equipment safely and efficiently using appropriate tools and machinery.
- Deliveries and Pickups: Transport HVAC units to and from customer sites, ensuring timely and professional service.
- On-Site Assembly and Disassembly: Assemble and disassemble HVAC systems at customer locations according to specifications and safety standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate service records, delivery logs, and inspection reports.
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years experience with HVAC
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to work overtime and after hours as needed
- Rotating on-call availability is required.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
