Overview: Presbyterian is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. As an RRT , you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders. Your expertise and dedication will help improve patient outcomes and enhance their quality of life. Type of Opportunity: Per Required Need (0.001 FTE) Work Schedule: Nights Compensation & Differentials Shift Differentials: nights $5.00 and weekends $3.00 Preceptor Differential Differentials for higher education, certifications and various lead roles Career Ladder Program Eligible Therapists may receive differential pay based on Advanced certifications (RPFT, CPFT, Perinatal Pediatric, ACCS, RPSGT, etc.)

Responsibilities: All Certified Respiratory Therapist responsibilities. Assists physicians with Bronchoscopy Procedures under departmental policy including monitoring and assessment of the level of consciousness, cardiovascular and pulmonary systems; as well as delivery of IV conscious sedation agents to include drugs in the classifications of opioids, benzodiazepines and sedative-hypnotics and their reversal agents. Initiates ventilator protocols; implements and coordinates ventilator management. Performs advanced airway care to include tracheotomy changes, extubation, and intubation. Initiates and monitors high-frequency ventilators. In NICU Therapists will also perform: Surfactant delivery, and intubation and attend high-risk deliveries. Optional procedures: transport team, intubation, and backup charge therapist. Initiates and monitors Nitric Oxide delivery.
