This role provides valuable on-the-job training in a close-knit department comprising NPs, Nurses, and a CNA. Work across both clinic and hospital settings. Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Job Summary: As a Registered Nurse specializing in Wound and Ostomy care, you will: Provide care for patients with wound, ostomy, and/or continence needs. Consult, follow, and develop care protocols for pediatric and adult patients. Serve as a clinical resource and consultant to patient care staff. Demonstrate excellent clinical and interpersonal skills. Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care. Coordinate care and collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues, including physicians. Practice within the standards of nursing as outlined by the Nurse Practice Act. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required. Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program is preferred. Currently holds an unencumbered RN license in the state of practice. Completion of Wound, Ostomy, and/or Continence Nursing Education Program within the first 24 months of employment. Certification as a Wound and Ostomy Nurse is required (CWON and/or CWOCN).
