Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a dedicated Travel Med Surg RN to join our nationwide team of healthcare professionals. In this role, you will provide high-quality, compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients on medical-surgical units across a variety of hospitals and healthcare facilities in the United States. As a Travel Med Surg RN, you will be responsible for comprehensive patient assessment, developing and implementing care plans, administering medications and treatments, monitoring patient status, and collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary care team to promote safe, effective, and patient-centered outcomes.

You will work with diverse patient populations and diagnoses, including post-surgical cases, chronic disease management, acute medical conditions, and complex comorbidities. Daily responsibilities include performing head-to-toe assessments, managing IV lines and central access, providing wound care, monitoring vital signs and lab results, responding to changes in patient condition, and documenting all care accurately in the electronic health record. You will also play a key role in patient and family education, discharge planning, and coordination of care with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other members of the healthcare team.

As a travel nurse with Fusion Medical Staffing, you will adapt quickly to new environments, policies, and workflows as you rotate among different facilities and locations. You will participate in facility orientation, follow site-specific protocols, and uphold the highest standards of infection prevention, patient safety, and professional ethics. Strong critical thinking, time management, and communication skills are essential, as you may manage multiple patients with varying levels of acuity while prioritizing care and responding promptly to emergent situations.
