Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our General Float Pool, where you will provide compassionate and high-quality patient care across various departments. This position requires adaptability, critical thinking, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process, ensuring adherence to applicable standards and scope of practice. Perform House Supervisor duties as required to support facility needs and enhance patient care delivery. Administer medications, collect specimens, and implement clinical treatments according to established protocols. Document patient care effectively and accurately, maintaining comprehensive records for all services provided. Monitor and communicate patient conditions to the healthcare team, patients, and their families, ensuring transparent and effective communication. Assist patients with daily living activities, including hygiene, nutrition, and mobility. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans for transfers, discharges, and referrals. Evaluate patient and family learning needs, providing tailored education based on specific circumstances. Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of all patients. Oversee and assign daily staffing responsibilities, ensuring adequate cover and care quality. Provide guidance, orientation, and support to nursing staff, conducting performance evaluations and addressing any disciplinary actions as necessary. Lead efforts in resolving complex issues and complaints effectively. Required Qualifications: Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing (Required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred). License: Active RN license in Texas. Certifications: Current BCLS, with ACLS and PALS as required by specific unit demands. Skills: Strong critical thinking, decisiveness, and the ability to perform under pressure. Additional Information: This role may involve access to sensitive and confidential information. Understanding of healthcare regulatory compliance, including HIPAA, is essential. Other duties may be assigned as needed to support the overall operation of the healthcare team.
