Job Summary The Orthopedic Program Coordinator is tasked with the management, coordination, and leadership of our Orthopedic program, committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care. This role works closely with multidisciplinary teams, implements education and training initiatives, monitors regulatory compliance, and drives quality improvement efforts. Additionally, the coordinator serves as a crucial bridge between our healthcare organization and the community, promoting awareness and preventive measures. Essential Functions Oversee the coordination and development of the Orthopedic program, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Act as a key communicator among Orthopedic physicians, unit staff, and other team members, fostering effective collaboration in patient care. Assess the quality of orthopedic care delivery, leveraging performance improvement methodologies to identify trends and implement necessary corrective actions. Provide education to staff, patients, families, and community members regarding orthopedic treatment and recovery, customizing programs for diverse audiences. Manage the collection, analysis, and reporting of data to ensure adherence to registry requirements and enhance program improvements. Regularly review and update program policies and procedures in alignment with best practices and organizational standards. Develop and monitor competency-based training programs for clinical staff to uphold adherence to evidence-based care protocols. Ensure regulatory compliance and address any issues associated with program performance and outcomes in a timely manner. Perform additional duties as assigned, compliant with all organizational policies and standards. Qualifications 2-4 years of clinical experience in Orthopedic care or critical care is required. 1-2 years of prior experience in program coordination or quality improvement is preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong understanding of Orthopedic care practices and quality improvement methodologies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective engagement with multidisciplinary teams, patients, families, and community stakeholders. Competence in data analysis and registry reporting to enhance program performance and compliance. Ability to design and present educational programs for various audiences. Familiarity with regulatory and accreditation standards related to healthcare programs. Strong organizational and project management skills to oversee program operations efficiently. Licenses and Certifications Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state or compact state is required. Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification is required. Certification as an Orthopedic RN (CN-ORTHO) is preferred. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
