We are currently seeking a passionate Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern (RCSWI) to join our growing practice. The RCSWI role is designed for individuals working toward clinical licensure and provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a private practice setting.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct initial assessments and intake interviews to gather information about clients’ emotional, mental, and social histories.
Provide individual and/or therapy to clients, addressing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and life stressors under the supervision of an LCSW.
Assist clients with developing treatment plans and connecting them with community resources or other services as needed.
Maintain accurate, confidential records of client progress, sessions, treatment plans in accordance with ethical standards and legal requirement.
Participate in regular supervision sessions with LCSW to discuss case management, therapeutic approaches, and professional development.
Work closely with other healthcare providers, including medical staff, counselors, community organizations, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
Continuously engage in learning opportunities, attend workshops, and stay updated on best practices in social work and mental health care.
Qualifications: Master of Science degree in Social Work from an accredited school, required.
Registered with the state of Florida Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Clinical Social Worker Intern (RCSWI).
High level of professionalism and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines.
Ability to maintain boundaries.
Knowledge of current social work practices, therapeutic techniques, and legal/ethical standards in mental health care.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
Strong written communication skills and the ability to write clearly and informatively.
Excellent oral communication skills and the ability to speak clearly and effectively to clients.
Ability to respect diversity and incorporate cultural issues into cases.
Ability to work a hybrid schedule and provide in-person and virtual therapy services under supervision.
