Reports To: Director of Operations
Role Overview
The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for leading and executing operational strategy across multiple sites within an assigned region. This role serves as the primary point of contact for senior client leadership, oversees site-level performance, ensures compliance with operational policies, and drives continuous improvement initiatives. The position requires strong leadership, operational discipline, and the ability to manage complex, multi-site environments.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
Serve as the primary regional point of contact for senior and regional-level client leadership
Interface with site functional leaders on escalations and operational issues as needed
Oversee regional and site-level special projects and initiatives
Conduct regular regional audits and operational reviews with clients, as required
Formulate, implement, and enforce operational policies aligned with organizational objectives
Review, refine, and standardize processes across all sites within the region
Ensure compliance with all operational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Implement and maintain all operational protocols and standards
People Management
Lead and oversee site leadership teams, including site managers, supervisors, and support staff
Conduct scheduled and ad hoc performance reviews for subordinate staff
Coach and support site leadership to achieve operational, safety, and performance goals
Oversee recruitment, hiring, training, progressive discipline, and terminations
Serve as Tier 2 escalation support for operational issues, incidents, and emergencies
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Business & Client Management
Manage client relationships and act as first point of escalation for site-level concerns
Conduct regular site audits and report findings to senior leadership
Lead or support investigations related to safety, HR, or operational incidents, preparing formal reports
Collaborate with site leadership to ensure timely completion of approved special projects
Communicate with external vendors regarding outsourced services or supplies
Monitor staffing levels, attendance, and workforce performance across all managed locations
Provide guidance and training on policies, best practices, and corrective actions
Administrative & Financial Management
Manage departmental budgets including labor, supplies, and equipment
Approve payroll and reconcile labor costs against budgeted forecasts
Oversee billing accuracy, invoicing, and collections performance
Maintain and review employee and customer databases on a periodic basis
Prepare annual operating budgets and business plans for assigned region
Conduct periodic account and financial performance reviews
Ensure all purchases comply with established approval and procurement procedures
Qualifications
Education
High school diploma required
Degree or diploma in Operations, Business Management, or related field preferred
Experience
Minimum of three (3) years of management experience in an operational environment
Multi-site operations experience preferred
Experience in facilities services, distribution, logistics, or similar service-based operations is a plus
