About us
Treatment Access and Services Center is a nonprofit drug and alcohol organization located in downtown Reading, Pennsylvania. For over 30 years, our mission has been to help individuals attain treatment and recovery from addiction as an alternative to incarceration. Our Certified Recovery Specialists help individuals overcome the barriers commonly found in the early stages of addiction recovery.
We are currently seeking a team of Certified Recovery Specialists to support Treatment Court participants living at the Specialty Court Recovery Housing program at the YMCA in downtown Reading. The ideal candidates have prior experience working with persons with substance use disorders and know how to help individuals create and follow recovery plans. We need help on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts on weekends and holidays. Pay differential included!
YOU MUST BE A PERSON IN RECOVERY FROM A SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS POSITION. Preferred candidates have attained the CRS certification.

Responsibilities:- Provides peer-to-peer recovery support services of the Specialty Court Recovery House Program.
- Meets regularly with the Specialty Court Recovery House program director and intensive case managers to ensure continuity of care and program compliance with each resident.
- May collect random urine specimens, conduct room searches, provide access to medications, and facilitate group educational sessions at the Specialty Court Recovery House as needed.
- Maintains strict adherence to confidentiality requirements and ethical standards during interactions with clients, family members, referral sources, etc.
- Are you an individual who is in long-term recovery (at least 2 years of continued abstinence) from a substance use disorder?
- Do you hold the Pennsylvania Certified Recovery Specialist certification?

Treatment Access and Services Center (TASC) is a nonprofit drug and alcohol agency in downtown Reading, Pa. TASC's mission is to provide drug and alcohol treatment as an alternative to incarceration for nonviolent criminal offenders and other individuals.
As an intervention agency, TASC conducts substance use screenings, assessments, and treatment referrals for inmates at the Berks County Jail System, and emergency room patients at Tower Health/Reading Hospital as part of the Warm Hand-Off program. TASC provides urinalysis testing and works closely with the Berks County Treatment Court programs and the Adult Probation & Parole Office.
Finally. through its mobile Awaken Mental Health case management program, TASC provides support to adults with severe mental illness throughout Berks County. Together, through its many service units, the 60 employees working at TASC help thousands of individuals overcome the devastating effects of substance use and mental illness each year.
