Job Description

As a Senior Quality Specialist, you’ll helm our quality game, ensuring every product meets regulatory standards and consumer trust. You thrive on fast-paced innovation and bring unwavering attention to detail. You will own, optimize, and build our Quality Management System (QMS).

You’ll play a pivotal role in bringing new, scientifically grounded sports nutrition products to life—not just ensuring quality, but defining it. As the gatekeeper of product integrity, you’ll partner closely with R&D to champion quality from concept through commercialization. Whether it’s ready-to-mix supplements, RTD beverages, bars, or gummies, your expertise will ensure every product delivers what it promises—great taste, rock-solid compliance, and real nutritional impact.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and improve Quality Management System (QMS), including SOPs, work instructions, and controlled documents.
  • Oversee Change Control, Document Control, and CAPA processes.
  • Review and approve Master Manufacturing Records (MMRs), Batch Production Records (BPRs), and Certificates of Analysis (COAs).
  • Ensure compliance with FDA regulations (21 CFR Part 111/117), NSF, and other third-party certifications.
  • Support internal and external audits; lead supplier quality audits.
  • Maintain product and process traceability and ensure data integrity in documentation and electronic systems.
  • Lead deviation investigations and Non-Compliance reporting directly with manufacturers.
  • Manage Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) to resolution.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of quality-related corrective actions.
  • Support raw material and finished product release processes.
  • Collaborate with internal/external laboratories for analytical testing and method validation.
  • Oversee stability study protocols and reports.
  • Partner with R&D, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Legal to ensure quality is built into products and processes.
  • Serve as the Quality representative in product commercialization projects.
  • Provide training to team members on quality policies, cGMPs, and procedures.
  • Mentor junior QA/QC personnel and support onboarding of new employees.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field (Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, or related discipline).
  • 5–7+ years experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control, preferably in dietary supplements or food manufacturing.
  • Deep understanding of FDA regulations, cGMPs (21 CFR Part 111/117), HACCP, and quality certifications (e.g., NSF, ISO).
  • Proficiency with QMS software, MS Office, and ERP systems.
  • Strong skills in investigation writing, root cause analysis (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone), and CAPA management.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
