Radiologic Technician/Technologist (Full-time/Part-Time)

Rebound is looking for a full time or part-time X-Ray Tech to join our team! This position will float to our Portland and Lake Oswego clinic. The X-Ray Tech will operate radiologic equipment to make clinical diagnostic x-ray films directed by physicians. This role performs routine diagnostic procedures and special orthopedic views.
Responsibilities:

Position patients and adjust equipment for taking x-rays following established procedures on DR and traditional equipment.
Instruct patients regarding procedures. Observe patients for vital signs during examinations.
Follow prescribed safety standards in operating radiologic equipment.
Select length and intensity for radiation exposure by adjusting equipment on individual patient basis.
Examine monitor for properties such as density and contrast, definition magnification and distortion.
Authorize release of patients upon completion of radiologic examination.
Maintain examination rooms. Stock necessary medical and radiologic supplies.
Clean and make minor adjustments to radiologic equipment.
Participate in training employees.
Attend required meetings and participate in committees as requested.
Follow OSHA guidelines.
Enhances professional growth education programs, conferences, and workshops.
Perform related work as required by department and location.
Chart and charge X-rays.
Answer phones professionally, timely and with courtesy.
Import CD’s and manage account information accordingly.
Make CD’s for patients requesting imaging.
Work at different Rebound locations as needed and scheduled by supervisor.
Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and abide by all HIPAA rules and regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education: Completion of course in Radiologic Technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist or Completion of accredited Limited X-ray Technician course. Continuing education
as required by the State of Oregon.
Certification/Licensure: Current ARRT registration required. Washington State certification required. Oregon radiologic technologic license required. Or Appropriate current Oregon
limited radiologic permit required if working in Oregon. Current health care provider BLS certification.
Experience: One year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist or Technician is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to sufficiently pinpoint area for radiography. Knowledge of radiology equipment and testing. Knowledge of safety hazards common to radiology including equipment, body mechanics, and patient movement. Skill in trouble shooting equipment operation and performing simple adjustments. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public. Ability to apply written guidelines and standardized work practices. Ability to identify problems. Ability to communicate clearly.
Physical Demands:
Requires manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination for operation and minor repairs of all departmental equipment. May require prolonged standing and walking. Lifts and carries items weighing up to 30 pounds. Moves and coordinates patient lifting in excess of 300 pounds and positions patients in appropriate positions for optimal image quality. Required eye sight correctable to 20/20 to operate equipment and critique films quality.
Working Conditions:
Exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic environment. Clinic is a fast-paced environment.
