Psychiatric - Mental Health Physician

New Yesterday

At Mindoula, we believe mental health care should be human-first, not diagnosis-first. That s why we're delivering a tech-enabled, team-based model that brings together primary care providers, OBGYNs, pediatricians, care managers, and psychiatric consultants to support patients in need - wherever they are. We are currently seeking a DC-licensed, Board-Certified Psychiatrist to join our Collaborative Care Program as an independent contractor. This is an outstanding opportunity to deliver impactful, team-based psychiatric care in a fully virtual model while supporting underserved populations and contributing to a smarter, more connected behavioral health system.
What You ll Do
Provide scheduled case reviews and consultations to care managers regarding the psychiatric care of assigned patients. Submit written consult notes with medication recommendations and other treatment updates within 24 hours, finalized in Mindoula s Member Registry. Support ongoing treatment in the primary care, OBGYN, or pediatric setting and recommend transitions to more intensive or specialized mental health services as needed. As consulting psychiatrists do not conduct direct patient evaluations and the referring provider remains the treating clinician, clearly communicate that all treatment recommendations are based solely on consultative case reviews. Contribute to the training of primary care staff and providers on behavioral health conditions and integrated care best practices. What You ll Need
An active D.C. medical license. Board Certification in Psychiatry. A strong interest in integrated, virtual, and measurement-based care models. Experience in women's health and/or pediatrics (preferred, not required). Willingness to become licensed in additional states (preferred, not required). Why Join Mindoula?
