Summary
The Shop Services Project Manager, manages inspections, repairs, turn around and upgrades Projects from inquiry phase through execution and closing phase. Project manager responsibilities include the coordination and completion of Projects on time within budget and within scope. The Project Manager will collaborate as required to develop quotations, creates production work scopes, processes & coordinates material ordering and subcontract requirements for OEM and OOEM equipment. The nature of this position is a continuous process of developing a systematic way of planning, implementing, managing, and analyzing repair and upgrade orders. Communication with customers, both internal & external, is paramount.
Roles and Responsibilities
Foster an environment of teamwork, compliance and continual improvement.
Ensure that all Projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Assist to obtain the required data to properly support the preparation of repair and upgrade quotations, including required scope, cost, pricing, lead-times, etc.
Ensure that once a quotation becomes an order, the job is implemented properly. This includes coordinating internal kick of meeting with cross-functional team, elaboration of Project schedule, verify that correct parts are order, verify that work scope is writing accurate and in detail, and making sure all other required resources are available throughout the job duration.
Work with engineering to analyze inspection reports in order to develop appropriate repair recommendations. This should lead to orders that enable us to reach established profit goals and create customer satisfaction.
Manage changes to the Project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification processes.
Lead communications on all Projects, including schedule updates and direct customer meetings. Hold review meetings with shop personnel about Projects status, and maintain communication with the customer, sales, and management teams.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, storing required items in the designated Project folder. Maintain job folders, lessons learned, and issue final reports to customers.
Provide enhancements to existing Standard Operating Procedures.
Manage and communicate Project forecast, revenue, cost, and billing requests as required by the business.
Able to travel to visit customer site and suppliers as needed by the Project
Ability to interpret engineering drawings without assistance
Adhere to the company objectives, i.e. Safety, Quality, Environment and Information Security.

Help to promote future business opportunities through customer satisfaction with all phases of their experience with MCO-I.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (or similar) with at least three (3) years of experience working with turbomachinery repair techniques and operation or seven (7)+ years applicable turbomachinery equipment experience and repair shop environment
Experience in managing deliverables from supporting functions: Engineering, Quality, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, accounting, etc.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and stakeholders
Experience in customer relations and sales.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS office suite including MS Project.
Solid organizational and time management skills, including multitasking and attention to details, are essential.
Self-motivated with the ability to handle difficult situations and demanding deadlines.
Perform detailed schedule reviews with key execution groups to identify potential Project risks and efficiencies
Critical thinking and problem solving skills
A willingness to learn and to teach or coach others
Preferred skills Leadership to manage a Project team
SAP ERP system knowledge
Understanding of the operation and maintenance of steam turbines and compressors
Demonstrated high personal productivity and motivation
Physical Demands Ability to sit and work in front of a computer for extended period of time
Minor lifting of files and/or boxes Work environment Office and Shop manufacturing environment.
