About Our Client My client is a mid-sized Design/Build Commercial General Contractor located in Shawnee, KS with all local work to the Greater Kansas City area. The firm's bread and butter is retail/restaurant and light commercial work, but they are in the works of beginning to dive into multi-family & hospitality projects as well. The company is roughly 10-15 years old, now well established and respected in the industry. My client pumps out $20-$25M in revenue per year. They have a amazing growth plan in place for the next 5 years to hit $50M. My client's culture is very tight-knit, and the group deems each other as a second family. Job Description Develop a strong understanding of the entire scope of work, including plans, specifications, logistics, materials, equipment and other requirements. Coordinate subcontractors and manage on-site production. Prepare and maintain a 3 week look-ahead schedule for all activities on the job site. Facilitate and ensure company safety program. Create daily reports to submit to the Senior Project Manager or Prime Contractor. Review and adhere to project schedule. Manage quality control by confirming that all the equipment and material installed was submitted by a subcontractor. Assure good housekeeping across entire project site. The Successful Applicant Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management. 5+ years of experience in construction project management. Having experience with both change orders and hard-bid estimates. Working knowledge of skilled trades including carpentry, masonry, concrete work, site excavation and grading, plumbing, fire protection, HVAC and electrical. Knowledge in commercial construction technology. Must be proficient in reviewing and understanding all construction documents including specifications and drawings. Excellent written and oral communication skills with parties including management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors and clients.
