Our client, a leading global tier-one automotive supplier, is seeking a Project Engineer to join their team at a key manufacturing facility in Bellefontaine, OH. Responsibilities The Project Controls Engineer will be responsible for supporting automation and controls projects across the plant, focusing on improving equipment performance, reliability, and process efficiency:

Lead and support technical projects, including equipment installation and process improvements Program and troubleshoot PLC/HMI systems (Mitsubishi & Allen Bradley preferred) Design and review control panels, electrical schematics, and power distribution plans Interface with maintenance, engineering, suppliers, and contractors Apply structured problem-solving methods (Six Sigma, 8D, Kaizen) to improve system reliability

Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment 3+ years of hands-on PLC/HMI programming experience Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical, robotics (Fanuc, Yaskawa), and electrical standards
