Overview of the Program Manager - Tax Assistance Program role:
Oversee and manage 3 seasonal tax preparation sites (January-April)
Recruit, train, and supervise student and community volunteers
Ensure compliance with IRS and organizational standards
Coordinate scheduling, logistics, and stakeholder communication
Support community engagement, grant writing, and outreach in the off-season
Preferred Qualifications for the Program Manager - Tax Assistance Program:
CPA or strong accounting/finance experience (no need for public tax prep experience)
Professional, polished, and mission-driven-someone who brings judgment and initiative
Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities
Comfortable working independently while managing a broad range of tasks
South Bend local or familiar with the community preferred
Schedule Overview:
Fall: ~20 hrs/week
Tax Season (Jan-April): ~45-50 hrs/week (onsite including Saturday clinic hours)
Summer: ~1-2 days/week
