The Production Operator - Filling ensures that filling equipment, tools, supplies, and work areas are maintained according to applicable GMP. The safe set-up, operation, and sanitation of high-speed filling and packaging equipment including but not limited to fillers, cappers, labelers, case erecter, case packer, case and/or bottle coders, palletizers, and pallet wrapper. Accurately record production data, turning all related documents to inventory control at end of shift Effectively correcting downtime issues, and reporting issues that are impacting production Flavor changes, washouts, and weekly cleaning: i.e. tanks, pipes, and equipment, (CIP and COP) and floors Calibrate and operate pH meters, and refractometers, perform relative Quality Assurance monitoring Hand stacking and/or manual pack-off Maintain all quality, sanitation, and production documents in accordance with plant quality, safety, and environmental requirements. Safe handling of chemicals, chemical testing, and documentation of strength and usage. Manual and/or electrical pallet jack High School graduate or equivalent required, eighteen (18) years or older 6 mo. Manufacturing experience, preferably in a chemical or food processing facility. 3 mo. Prior electric pallet jack operation and safety certification preferred. Use of MS products required, SAP software preferred. Ability to maintain a good attendance record and availability for overtime. Must be self-motivated and conscientious. Ability to work well with a team or other coworkers. Mechanical aptitude and analytical skills to solve mechanical problems. Ability to complete certification requirements The starting wage for this role is $18.00 (minimum) per hour. This position may also be eligible for a shift differential and/or overtime.
