Product Owner - Technical Focus

Purpose of the Job: The Product Owner manages the vision for our consumer-facing mobile applications, driving the development process to deliver high-value products.
Job Responsibilities:
Understand and articulate business and customer values to prioritize and set an impactful product roadmap.
Elicit requirements, synthesize, and document them into actionable stories for the product backlog.
Break requirements into sprint-sized stories that enhance speed-to-value.
Connect with internal and external stakeholders to grasp the value and needs of work products.
Collaborate closely with engineers and testers within your agile release train.
Engage directly with front-end teams to build dynamic applications.
Adopt a documentation-first approach to solutions, ensuring clarity and high product value.
Manage and refine the product backlog, assemble sprints, and strategize for releases.
Work alongside other product owners to enhance platform-level processes.
Clearly communicate business and customer value to the development team for effective prioritization.
Participate in the release process as the product expert, proactively resolving issues prior to launch.
Ensure roadmaps and product backlogs are transparent and well-structured.

Supervision of Personnel: Exempt - 0, Non-Exempt - 0
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Education/Certifications: BA/BS in Computer Information Systems/Business Administration or equivalent experience. Certified Product Owner with SAFe or a related certification program.
Experience: 2-3 years as a product owner; 1-2 years of manual QA testing and/or engineering experience; experience working within an Agile environment; working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, React & React Native preferred.
