Reports To: Product Engineering Manager
Description: Performs engineering and technical assignments relating to BOM development. Makes various calculations used in development of BOM usages and routings.
Responsibilities:
Anticipates potential schedule or priority duties and initiates plans for alternative actions.
Identifies potential or existing problems, performs analysis and provides counter measures.
Assists in development of engineering plans, designs and analysis of new materials.
Support and attend required customer and internal functional trials/meetings as requested.
Maintain all engineering documents, drawings, files, other.
Design, create and maintain all bills of material functions, as well as support for all departments as it may relate.
Investigate, prepare, distribute and revise all aspects of the component lists.
Accesses computer generated drawings and documents as required .
Attends meetings and provide support/documentation for various marketing and sales requests.
Support the implementation, achievement, and maintenance of the Quality and Environmental Policies and Procedures.
Authorities for an employee are granted by means of work instructions, policies and procedures and/or direction provided by management to meet the requirements of the customer
EDUCATION:
B.S.M.E. or B.S. Degree with a concentration of course work in industrial technology, industrial or mechanical engineering from an accredited institution preferred
EXPERIENCE :
3 years' experience as Product Engineering Technician
SKILLS:
Computer skills in working with Windows operating system as well as Word Processor, Spreadsheet software.
Basic typing proficiency
OTHER:
Good organizational skills.
Good communication skills
Must be able to travel with limited notice.
Work Environment:
This job operates in an office and manufacturing environment, and routinely uses standard office equipment. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
Physical Demands:
The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds The employee may also be required to work in hot temperatures
