POSITION SUMMARY:
The Principal Product Manager for Enterprise Applications is a critical, techno-functional role within the EA team supporting our critical business applications. You will bridge the gap between business and technical teams by deeply understanding business processes, applications and Agile principles. You will serve as the liaison between business stakeholders and Enterprise Applications by representing the business interests to the development team. You will own the product backlog for GTM, People Systems and related EA applications, align work to organizational TPS/OKRs, and deliver maximum value to stakeholders.
This role requires a balance of strategic thinking, technical acumen, and functional expertise to ensure the team delivers high-quality solutions that meet business needs while maintaining application performance and honoring architectural standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Product Ownership Define and prioritize user stories in collaboration with stakeholders, aligning them with business goals, technical feasibility, and organizational constraints to maximize value delivery.
Lead backlog refinement sessions by ensuring user stories are clear, actionable, and aligned with the sprint and release goals.
Lead sprint reviews to showcase delivered work to stakeholders, gather actionable feedback, and adjust the backlog.
Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by engaging key uses to validate that delivered features meet business needs, facilitating feedback loops, and ensuring sign-off before release.
Collaborate with development teams to provide business context, clarify questions, and obtain additional information from stakeholders to inform design decisions.
Present backlog issues to the Architecture Review Board (ARB) for review and alignment with enterprise architecture.
Support the ARB by providing business context for technical requirements and communicating design decisions back to the business.
Advocate for technical excellence and consistency in our standards across enterprise applications.
Help communicate technical trade-offs between design decisions to stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement Stay informed about product releases, updates, and new applications and features to maximize the value of enterprise systems.
Support the Continuous Improvement Committee in the evaluation of existing processes and recommend optimizations.
Lead efforts to prioritize technical debt and ensure system scalability and reliability.
Attend QBRs, vendor conferences, vendor discussions, and renewal conversations to optimize the ROI of our applications.
Organize and partner with Business Analysts on discovery, process analysis, and requirements gathering tasks across multiple projects.
Promote Transparency and Communication Ensure the backlog is transparent, visible, and understood by stakeholders and development teams.
Regularly communicate Sprint progress, risks, and updates to ensure transparency and build trust with all business stakeholders.
Collaborate with Project Managers (PM) by providing updates on backlog items supporting PM managed strategic projects.
Prepare and distribute release notes to ensure stakeholders and end-users are informed about new features, enhancements, resolved issues, known limitations and their impact on business processes.
Application Portfolio Management & Vendor Support Provide technical insight on licensing models, feature trade-offs, and product alternatives.
Partner with Head of EA to evaluate vendor offerings, flag underutilized tools, and support for technical and product input during contract negotiation.
AI Research & Development Support integration of AI-based capabilities into enterprise apps (e.g., Gong automation, Slack AI, Endgame, Rox, Workday Illuminate)
Partner with Head of Enterprise Application in developing an AI strategy that aligns with supporting key metrics
Gather feedback from business users and help prioritize AI-related backlog items in collaboration with architects and data teams.
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 6 years supporting business applications in a Salesforce ecosystem.
Minimum of 4 years working within Agile/Scrum teams, applying Agile principles to successfully deliver system enhancements.
Certified Product Owner or proven success as a Product Owner, Technical Product Owner, or similar role.
Certified Salesforce Administrator, Advanced Administrator, App Builder, CPQ Specialist, or Developer—or equivalent hands-on Salesforce experience.
Skills: Exceptional technical and functional understanding of enterprise application processes and Salesforce architecture.
Highly proficient in professional and compassionate communication, cross-functional collaboration, conflict resolution and stakeholder engagement.
Ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a consumable manner to a variety of audiences.
Ability to prioritize competing priorities across multiple workstreams
