Your Role
The Principal Information Security Engineer - Network Defense serves as a key technical leader within the Information Asset Protection team. You will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and enhancing robust network security solutions across the enterprise. Your mission is to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of both corporate and personal data by spearheading the development of innovative network protection strategies, incorporating artificial intelligence, and utilizing cutting-edge technologies to proactively defend against emerging threats.
Your Knowledge and Experience
Extensive expertise in network architecture, protocols, and secure routing.
In-depth knowledge of Cisco technologies, including ISE, Umbrella, and Cisco Secure Access (ZTNA).
Proficiency in Akamai solutions, such as Web Application Firewall.
Strong grasp of network threat intelligence, anomaly detection, and AI/ML applications in network defense.
Experience with secure remote access technologies, VPNs, NAC, and identity-aware proxies.
Robust understanding of DevOps tools and platforms, including Jenkins, GitLab CI, Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with essential regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA) and compliance-driven network controls.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in network security engineering, including at least 3 years in a principal or equivalent position.
Preferred industry certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security, CCIE Security, or equivalent.
Exceptional communication skills, capable of influencing executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
