Physical Therapist Assistant - PTA - Weekend

New Yesterday

Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) – Weekend – Weymouth, MA $37–$40 Per Visit + $3 Weekend Differential | Flexible Schedule | Full-Time Benefits Proudly Named a Top Place to Work by The Boston Globe in 2024 — because supporting mobility starts with not making you sprint through your workday. Let’s be real: working weekends isn’t everyone’s dream. But what if your weekend gig came with flexibility, strong pay, zero clinic chaos, and coworkers who understand what it’s like to be in the field? At Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services (VRNS) , we’re clinician-owned — meaning we get it, we’ve lived it, and we’re making it better. We're on the lookout for full-time Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) to join our home health dream team in Weymouth . If you’ve got at least one year of clinical experience, a solid sense of humor, and the ability to commit to Saturdays (yes, that one day a week) — this gig’s for you.
If you want to know about the requirements for this role, read on for all the relevant information.
Why You’ll Actually Want to Work Weekends with Us: $37–$40 per visit — because quality care shouldn’t come with discount pay. $3 Weekend Differential — your Saturday hustle just got a little richer. Flexible Schedule — work one Saturday every week (just the one, we checked), plus four weekdays that fit your life. Full-Time Benefits (for grown-up responsibilities and peace of mind) Medical, dental, and vision — we believe in preventive care for you, too. PTO & Paid Holidays — because burnout isn't part of the job description. 401(k) with Employer Match — retirement shouldn’t be a mystery. Mileage Reimbursement at $0.62/mile — gas prices shouldn’t cancel out your paycheck. Ongoing Training — stay sharp without falling asleep in your chair. Working Advantage Perks — real discounts, not just “free shipping over $200.”
Your Saturday Superpowers Will Be Used For: High-priority visits — the folks who really need you this weekend. Make-up appointments — because life (and weekday cancellations) happen. The schedule may vary — but it won’t include mystery marathons or surprise 12-hour shifts.
What You'll Actually Do: Provide in-home PT treatments under your supervising PT (your clinical co-pilot). Adjust treatment plans as needed — cookie-cutter care is not our thing. Educate and motivate patients and caregivers — with actual strategies, not YouTube advice. Document using our user-friendly EMR — it’s not a treasure hunt.
What Makes VRNS Different (In a Good Way)? We work with specialized programs like the Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Waiver , which means your schedule stays full — without feeling like a game of whack-a-mole. More importantly? You’re supported. That includes real team communication, approachable leadership, and people who actually return your emails. Apply now and take back control of your weekends — or at least make them worth it. At VRNS, you’ll feel the difference on Day One (and yes, you’ll still be home in time for Saturday dinner).
What We’re Looking For: Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in Massachusetts At least 1 year of clinical experience Strong communication, organization, and clinical reasoning skills Self-motivated and comfortable working independently Familiarity with EMR systems Home healthcare experience is a plus, but not required ________________________________________ Join a company that truly supports its clinicians, fosters professional growth, and promotes a healthy work-life balance.
