Must have clean malpractice history.License: Must be or be willing to become registered in Iowa as a Radiation Therapy Physicist. Iowa license required or willingness to obtain.Certifications: Board Eligible (with plans to become Board Certified) or Board Certified in Medical Physics by the appropriate certifying board.Must-Have: Commitment to becoming Board Certified. Willingness to work closely with a collaborative team and dedication to providing quality care. Open to H1B and J1 visa candidates.Job Description:- Provide therapeutic radiological physics services to the Radiation Oncology Department.- Ensure the safety of equipment and maintain high standards of patient care.- Participate in teaching in accordance with regulatory agencies and medical community standards.- Collaborate with a team that includes 2 Physicists, 2 Dosimetrists, 8 Radiation Therapists, 3 RNs, 2 Office Secretaries, 1 Billing and Coding Coordinator, 1 Social Worker, and 1 Office Manager.- Perform tasks including patient-specific QA, chart QA, linear accelerator QA, plan checks, and additional support for Radiation Oncologists, Dosimetrists, and therapists.- Work with linear accelerators, specifically TomoTherapy Hi-Art and Varian TrueBeam.- Utilize Aria for record and verify processes and Eclipse and Tomoplan software for planning.- Collaborate with colleagues in growing Medical Oncology group and interdisciplinary team.- Work under the guidance of the Chief of Physics with skills in calibration and commissioning of equipment.- Implement new technologies as needed and ensure quality assurance in equipment and treatment plans.- Possess a strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.Benefits:- Competitive salary range based on experience and training.- Stipend available for the last year of residency.- Comprehensive employee benefits package including health, dental, vision, and life insurance.- Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and flexible spending accounts for health and dependent care.- Retirement programs, including a retirement plan with a company match.- Paid Time Off and vacation with sick time and paid holidays.- Employer qualified for Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.- Options for short-term and long-term disability coverage.- Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and special employee discounts.
