Title: Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)
Responsibilities: Assisting individuals facing physical, emotional, and cognitive challenges
Work Environment: Inclusive of private residences
Schedule: Per diem for adaptable and individualized scheduling
Compensation: $35 - $50 hourly
Responsibilities: Assist clients in overcoming limitations to enhance their quality of life, such as aiding injured workers in improving motor skills for a return to work
Provide rehabilitative services to individuals with physical, mental, emotional, or developmental impairments under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist
Gather client information through interviews and medical history documentation to determine treatment goals
Execute treatment plans and instructions developed in collaboration with the therapist, demonstrating proper techniques for movement and stretching exercises
Monitor clients' progress and ensure adherence to the treatment plan
Maintain accurate records of client progress and billing details for the occupational therapist's reference
Uphold a safe work environment by following established procedures and legal guidelines
Manage and restock supplies to ensure readiness for therapy sessions
Maintain equipment by following operational guidelines, troubleshooting issues, restocking supplies, and arranging for repairs when necessary
Adhere to professional policies and regulations to uphold occupational therapy standards
Enhance the reputation of the practice by proactively seeking opportunities to add value to the role
