Department/Unit: Float Pool Work Shift: Staffing Options Program (United States of America) This position offers an exciting opportunity for dedicated nursing professionals to contribute to a compassionate and supportive care environment for patients, families, and colleagues. As a Clinical Nurse, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of patient care through kindness and active listening. Job Responsibilities Administer medications, implement physician orders, start IVs, and perform treatments, procedures, and special tests, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess and identify patient conditions accurately. Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to determine patient needs and responses to care. Utilize sound nursing judgment to make informed patient care management decisions. Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses. Administer over-the-counter and prescription medications as prescribed. Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Care Plans for all patients. Guide and direct ancillary personnel while maintaining high standards of professional nursing practice. Minimum Qualifications Graduation from a recognized nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree. Current New York State Registered Nurse license. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required. 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care. Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time management skills. Knowledge of quality concepts and problem-solving techniques, with the ability to apply this knowledge effectively.
