This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge patent matters related to electrical engineering and software. The role involves handling both patent prosecution and litigation within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Duties: Draft, file, and prosecute patent applications focusing on electrical engineering and software technologies. Represent clients in patent litigation, providing strategic advice and support. Conduct legal research, prepare briefs, and manage complex patent portfolios. Advise clients on IP matters related to patent infringement and enforcement. Communicate with clients to assess their needs and provide legal guidance. Collaborate with a cross-functional team of professionals to deliver high-quality services. Support business development efforts and client relationship management. Requirements: A strong background in intellectual property law with a focus on patent prosecution and litigation. Experience in electrical engineering, Mechanical, or a similar technical field. Hands-on experience in patent prosecution, including drafting applications and responding to office actions. Admitted to practice before the USPTO; admission to the California State Bar is preferred. 3-6 years of patent prosecution experience, including application drafting. Education: A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. A technical degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical, or a closely related field is strongly preferred.
