Job Description PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
The PT Specialist III, Student Resource Center (SRC) role is to support the admissions and records functions of Lone Star College. He or She ensures excellent customer service, as well as compliance for bacterial meningitis, residency, prerequisites, transcript evaluation, biographical data and graduation requirements.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Deliver great customer service assistance to individuals/visitors/staff/students
Assist with event and donation drive program planning, execution, and budget expenses/requests
Maintain and/or process records
Maintain inventory
Guided tours of Student Resource Center
Support with College-Work study employee supervision
Assist with daily operations and expectations of the Student Resource Center including food pantry, professional clothing, school supplies, toiletries, METRO Q Fare Cards, etc.
Create marketing requests and promotions of events within the Student Resource Center
Serve as a courier to pick up items that are needed for events
Participate in communications sent to staff/students via in-person, email, phone calls, etc., and attend meetings
Assists with organizing storages and cleaning areas as needed
Other job-related duties as assigned

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS:
Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment
Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED
Salary Hourly Pay Rate is $15.60
