We are currently seeking a Part-Time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to contribute to our mission at the Coram Health Center in Coram, NY. Role Overview: As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing psychiatric clinical services and ensuring high standards of care for our patients. You will work collaboratively with a dedicated team to enhance the mental and emotional well-being of individuals seeking our services. Key Responsibilities: Consult with MD/Psychiatrist/LCSW for patient assessments and medication management. Deliver clinical care, including medication management and psychiatric evaluations, to meet care plan goals. Engage in case conferences and high-risk meetings to collaborate on patient treatment. Approve treatment plans for patients in behavioral health care. Assist in managing transitions of care with external providers and organizations. Respond to clinical teams for crisis interventions. Conduct patient interviews, diagnoses, and evaluations. Document reports and maintain thorough case records. Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications as appropriate. Provide training to staff and review cases to ensure quality of care. Be knowledgeable in diagnosing and treating substance use disorders, making referrals as necessary. Qualifications: Education: Master's Degree in nursing. Licensure: Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry with CPR/BLS certification.
