JOB SUMMARY
Join our team as a Part-Time CDL Driver, where you will play a vital role in delivering and picking up containers from our valued customers. Your focus will be on providing safe, efficient service while building positive relationships with our clients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate a commercial truck equipped with a patented lift mechanism to safely load and unload containers.
Conduct daily pre and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and lift, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
Accept additional delivery requests to support business operations as needed.
Utilize company-provided handheld devices for delivery verification and navigation.
Operate a forklift and/or overhead crane when necessary.
Inspect and clean containers before delivery to ensure they meet company standards.
Facilitate rental paperwork and payment processing with customers.
Communicate effectively with the Driver Lead or Market Manager regarding customer inquiries or concerns, and maintain accurate driver notes.
Perform necessary repairs on containers and lifts in the field or at the storage facility.
Assist with storage center duties as required.
Maintain cleanliness and organization within the truck cab.
Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position typically reports to management. Potential supervisors may include the Market Manager or Territory Manager.
This role does not include direct management of other employees.
Pay Range: $22.00 - $22.00. General benefits include safety bonuses for driver positions, boot vouchers, and uniforms provided.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent.
Valid CDL Class A License required, without air brake restriction.
Must maintain a current and valid driver license.
Must meet PODS Driver Qualification Standards.
Must be at least 21 years old due to insurance requirements.
Possess a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate or the ability to obtain a minimum of a 1-year certification (DOT requirement).
Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software is preferred.
Possess sufficient math skills to fulfill job responsibilities.
Alternative combinations of education, training, or experience will be considered.
Willingness to participate in a mandatory 2-week New Hire Driver Training Program.
