Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour Job Summary: Join our team as a Part-Time CDL A Driver, responsible for efficiently delivering and picking up containers while ensuring exceptional customer service. Enjoy the convenience of being home nightly! Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Safely operate a commercial truck equipped with a patented lift mechanism to load and unload containers at customer locations. Conduct daily pre and post-trip inspections of the commercial vehicle and lift, logging all findings. Be flexible and accept additional deliveries as needed to support business operations. Utilize a company handheld computer for delivery verification and navigation. Operate a forklift and/or an overhead crane as required. Ensure containers are clean and presentable before delivery to customers. Manage rental paperwork and payment coordination with customers. Communicate effectively with the Driver Lead or Market Manager regarding any customer inquiries or issues, documenting notes as needed. Perform on-site repairs of containers and lifts, both in the field and at the storage center. Assist in backup functions at the storage center when necessary. Maintain a clean and orderly truck cab, keeping it free from debris. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Management & Supervisory Responsibilities: Typically reports to Management with direct supervisor titles including: Market Manager or Territory Manager. This position does not have managerial responsibilities over other employees. General Benefits: Safety bonuses available for driver positions, along with boot vouchers and uniforms provided. Job Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required. Valid CDL Class B License without air brake restriction needed. Must maintain a current and valid driver license. Meet PODS Driver Qualification Standards. At least 21 years of age to fulfill insurance requirements. Possess a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate or be capable of obtaining a minimum 1-year certification (DOT requirement). Hands-on experience with electronic devices and software is preferred. Basic math skills required to perform necessary duties. Equivalent combinations of education, training, or experience will also be considered. Must be able to participate in a required 2-week New Hire Driver Training Program.
