Part Time Nanny

We're currently looking for a live-in or live-out part-time nanny in Grass Valley, CA 95959. A lovely family is seeking a nanny for their two children, ages 10 and 23 years, with a start date in mid-April. Care is needed Monday through Friday from 4:30/5pm to 9pm, Saturdays from 9am to 5pm, and optional Sundays from 10:30am to 1:30pm to accompany one child to church. The 12 year old enjoys wrestling and video games; the family would appreciate support in limiting screen time and encouraging more outdoor activities, while the 10 year old loves imaginative play, dress-up, and outdoor activities, and has ADHD, so experience with neurodivergent children is important. There is a possibility care will only be needed for the 10 year old, though this could change. The home also has a large, friendly dog (no pet care required beyond occasional feeding). The family is looking for a patient, engaging, and fun-loving nanny who can provide structure, encourage independence in daily routines, and bring experience working with children with special needs.

Start date: Mid-April

Length of Position: Long-term

Compensation: $25-$30 per hour

Schedule:

• MondayFriday: 4:30/5:00pm 9pm
• Saturday: 9am 5pm
• Sunday: 10:30am 1:30pm (optional; to attend church)

Responsibilities

• Engage and play with the children
• Support afternoon/evening routines, including bedtime
• Prepare meals for the children
• Assist with bath time and prepare clothing for the next day
• Provide homework support for the 12-year-old
• Handle school pick-ups
• Perform light housekeeping and organization related to the children

Requirements

• 2 years of paid, professional childcare experience preferred
• Experience with special education required
• CPR certified or willing to become certified
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to provide 2 professional childcare references
• Ability to pass a background and social media screening
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and valid auto insurance
• Reliable vehicle for transporting children
• English speaking

Compensation + Benefits

This position pays $25-$30 per hour, and the family is looking for 28-33.5 hours of care per week. Benefits to be determined, but may include:
