The Overhaul General Maintenance Technician (GMT) supports internal and external client needs by performing manual labor in support of Facility Projects.

Reporting and addressing all potential safety concerns/incidents/issues promptly and willingly participate and assist in any investigation that may relate to a safety incident.
Performs work in strict compliance with permitting requirements, Alaska Safety Handbook (ASH) Standards and other compliance-oriented directives. GMT has STOP work authority.
Participating in safety meetings and maintain a safe work environment as an employee and representative of CCI Industrial Services.
Demonstrate and promote safe work practices by participating in JSA reviews, pre-job walk downs and safety START card preparations covering work activities and materials required by the company and the client.
Accept accountability for safe work practices.
Document and record any injury or near miss incident that may occur while you are working.
Be a team player, striving for an interdependent, successful and effective approach to meeting our vision, mission and business objectives:
Communicate daily status of current projects to Facility Operations and the O&M Superintendent as necessary to ensure all projects are timely and within company and client standards.
Attend and participate in required meetings, trainings, exercises and drills.
Assist others on special project needs, when appropriate.
Operating a variety of hand and power tools (buffer/grinders, jigsaw, drills, T-bar, rakes, shovels, etc.) carrying and lifting materials.
Operate and/or supervise the operation of vehicles to include pickups, 12-foot flatbed, and box van trucks (F550), small mobile trailers and other equipment in adverse weather and road conditions.
Demonstrate adherence to established safety policies and procedures.
Participate in START card, Toolbox Talk (TBT), pre and post project meetings. Perform shop, field, and vehicle inspections.
Will ensure work scopes are fully defined and proper resources and materials are in place to accomplish goals.
Coach and train CCI crew members.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: Must be 18 years old
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to clearly speak, write, read and understand the English language.
Must have hand and power tool knowledge and experience.
NSTC Certification.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Oil & Gas Facility Operations with knowledge of production systems and equipment.
Familiarity with Greater Prudhoe Bay facilities.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. A pre-hire post offer Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) will be conducted to determine an employee's ability to perform to the job standard. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY EVALUATION (FCE) LEVEL 3. MOBILITY: Must be able to access all controls and all parts of machinery for service. Must be able to push/pull 50 pounds for 20 feet.
LIFTING: Must be able to routinely lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist, 30 pounds from waist level to shoulder height and carry 50 pounds for 20 feet.
HEARING: Must be able to hear audible safety alarms.
VISUAL ACUITY: Must be adequate to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner and take hand signals from ground man or flag man. Have correctable vision to at least 20/40.
RANGE OF MOTION: An objective range of motion measurement will be conducted and recorded using a five position and rapid exchange grip strength test during the pre-hire/post offer FCE.
