PURPOSE:
The outside service team is here to provide excellent customer service to the members and their guests at the bag drop and at the practice facilities. Ensures all programs and services are conducted and fulfilled in a manner consistent with the goals and objectives of Berkeley Hall Club.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide exceptional service with enthusiasm and a smile.
Remove bags from members’/guests’ car trunk onto golf carts, lifting of practice balls as needed when setting up the Range.
Clean and store members’ golf clubs after daily play.
Wash golf carts and use preventive maintenance procedures on them.
Picking Range, cleaning golf balls, and restocking the range.
Must be available for impromptu odd jobs when play is slow.
Ability to work with others and as a team.
Keep work area neat and organized.
Keep golf carts looking new and stocked (scorecards, pin sheet, towels and sand).
Look professional and play the part; wearing proper uniform as assigned, on time and prepared to start the day.
Follow all departmental and company safety rules.
Most importantly, treat all members and their guests with the same amount of respect and enthusiasm, no matter if they are the first group out or the last group in.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Capable of working extended hours, to include weekends and holidays as necessary.
Able to see well enough to read faint or partially obscured writing or printing, with corrective lenses if needed.
Must be able to speak English in a clear and understandable voice so that various types of communications may be conducted with people of various levels of education and capabilities.
Position involves kneeling, stooping, bending, pushing, shoving, lifting, carrying and moving objects that can weigh up to 75 lbs. This can occur throughout the day.
Must be able to interact with all types of individuals, be mentally alert, detail oriented, and with good reasoning skills.
Must be able to transport oneself throughout the property. Must have a valid state driver’s license.
ENVIORNMENTAL REQUIREMENTS :
Must be able to work on more than one assignment at a time with frequent interruptions, changes and delays. Must be able to remain focused and work effectively, efficiently and cheerfully under such circumstances.
Must be able to work effectively and cheerfully in an environment which may be stressful due to adversarial situations resulting from the proper performance of duties.
This position will alternate between working indoors in a controlled climate and with proper lighting to an outdoors setting with variable climate and lighting.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
High school graduate or equivalent desired.
Previous golf club experience highly desirable.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills a must.
Image must be professional and well-suited to a high volume, service activity.
