Job Summary
The Student Life Office Coordinator oversees general office functions including providing information to guests, directing the work of student staff, maintaining office flow for Student Life and Leadership at the Red Mountain campus. He or she will route phone calls and visitors to the appropriate area and serve as a first point of contact to internal and external customers, and serve as a primary support for the coordination and implementation of campus events and Student Life initiatives.
Essential Functions
Assist with the day to day operation of the Student Life office including greeting and directing guests
Support campus events and student organizations, schedule and lead campus tours, and work with campus partners
Maintaining the Student Lounge, and assisting with the planning and implementation of campus events
Provide guidance/direction/training to Student Ambassadors
Assist in the promotion of Student Life through Social Media and other platforms, create and design marketing materials to promote events
General clerical assistance and other duties as assigned to support the Office of Student Life and Leadership at the Red Mountain campus
Minimum Qualifications
One (1) year of college or relevant experience
Experience providing customer service to multiple customers or students at once
Experience using technology such as Google Suite, Canvas, social media platforms
Desired Qualifications
Associates degree or higher
Experience scheduling or assisting with special events
Experience working with student clubs or organizations/Student Government, extracurricular activities, etc.
Knowledge of Mesa Community College programs and services
Special Working Conditions
Travel to campus during interview/selection process will be at candidate's own expense
May require some evenings or weekends
May require prolonged periods of viewing a computer screen
May be required to lift or carry up to 25 pounds
