POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Office and Community Relations Assistant with experience in business development and community relations. This unique role supports the administrative needs of our law firm while also driving initiatives to expand our client base and enhance our community presence. The deal candidate must have a professional demeanor, strong communication skills, and the ability to build trust with both clients and referral sources. Requirements: Key Responsibilities: Office Administration Manage day-to-day office operations, including reception duties, scheduling, recordkeeping, and supply management. Support marketing and legal staff with document preparation, calendar coordination, and intake follow-up. Maintain client files and ensure confidential information is handled in compliance with legal standards. Coordinate meetings and appointments for teams and leadership teams! Serve as a liaison with marketing, community representatives, client management IT support to keep the office running efficiently. Community Relations Represent GOLDLAW at local events, charity functions, legal clinics, and business networking opportunities. Help develop and manage community outreach initiatives, sponsorships, and public awareness campaigns related to personal injury law. Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, nonprofits, first responders, and community leaders. Draft or send newsletters, press releases, and social media content highlighting GOLDLAW's achievements, community involvement, and education donations. Business Development Assist with identifying and developing relationships with medical professionals, repair shops, chiropractors, and other potential referral sources. Provide or assist in tracking local marketing campaigns, community outreach results, and client acquisition data to support firm growth strategies. Maintain the firm’s client relationship management (CRM) system and assist with lead follow-up. Coordinate and participate in speaking engagements, networking groups, and local events with a leadership team member. JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration, Legal Studies, Communications, or related. 2-4 years of experience in office administration, preferably in a personal injury or client-focused practice Skills & Abilities Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills. Professional appearance and a client-service mindset. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with legal practice management systems (e.g., Clio, Filevine, Needles, or Smart Advocate) a plus but training will be provided. Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Creole) is highly desirable but not required. Strong written & verbal communication skills and a high level of attention to detail. Confidence representing the firm in both formal and informal community settings. WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a professional office setting as well as working out in the field with the public at events. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. Manual dexterity, physical mobility, and some physical strength/stamina.
