About the Role: We are seeking a passionate and skilled Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our growing clinic team. Under the supervision of a registered Occupational Therapist, you will provide essential occupational therapy services to patients of all ages, from children to adults, in the patient's home. You will play a vital role in helping individuals develop essential skills, regain lost abilities, and improve their overall quality of life. Responsibilities: Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist, utilizing appropriate therapeutic techniques and evidence-based approaches within the clinic environment. Work directly with patients and their families, providing instruction and support in activities of daily living, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, cognitive skills, and sensory processing. Monitor patient progress and report observations to the supervising Occupational Therapist. Educate and engage patients and caregivers in the treatment process, providing them with strategies and resources to support their ongoing progress. Collaborate effectively with the supervising Occupational Therapist, Speech and Physical Therapists, and other members of the patient's care team within the clinic setting. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment interventions. Participate in clinic upkeep and organization, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for patients. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). Valid and current state license as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. Demonstrated ability to implement treatment plans effectively and work collaboratively with a supervising therapist. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient engagement skills. Experience working with diverse patient populations, including infants, toddlers, children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Knowledge of developmental milestones, age-related conditions, and appropriate assessment tools.
