Maintains complete and accurate documentation following guidelines. Demonstrates professional practice responsibility and knowledge of policies and procedures. Responds professionally to patients, families, and co-workers promoting patient-centered care. Follows National Patient Safety Goals including Universal Protocol and patient identification. Demonstrates knowledge of conditions, procedures, and equipment for surgical patients. Contributes to perioperative team by prioritizing patient care and changes in condition. Assesses patient understanding and provides pre-operative and postoperative education. Supports completion of patient testing and evaluates Pre Admission Testing orders.
