Mitigation Operations Manager

This role is a hands-on, team-focused leadership position for the mitigation division. This role involves overseeing project execution, guiding team development, ensuring efficient asset use, and delivering exceptional service to customers and referral partners.
Responsibilities:
Overseeing all mitigation projects from start to finish, ensuring quality, timeliness, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Stepping in to manage or troubleshoot challenging projects as needed, interacting with customers, adjusters, subcontractors, and internal teams. Leveraging software tools to manage job progress, documentation, invoicing, and collections. Maintaining project compliance with permitting, safety, and documentation standards. Monitoring project-level and division-level performance, identifying opportunities to improve margin, cost control, and job flow. Forecasting and managing team capacity based on demand trends. Collaborating in the budgeting process and regularly reviewing key performance indicators. Leading and developing a team of estimators, project managers, technicians, and administrators. Conducting performance reviews, setting expectations, and managing all aspects of career progression, including hiring, promotions, and coaching. Creating a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement. Overseeing technician scheduling and ensuring consistent adherence to safety protocols. Managing company mitigation assets including vehicles, equipment, and consumables. Overseeing warehouse operations and implementing effective inventory and housekeeping practices. Identifying and justifying capital investment needs and ensuring effective return on investment. Working closely with the repair division to ensure a smooth transition from mitigation to repair projects. Supporting business development by representing the technical capabilities of the mitigation team with key customers and referral sources. Assisting in growing commercial accounts through technical support in sales conversations. Promoting strong online reviews by driving positive customer experiences and feedback. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in property restoration, construction, or a closely related field. 2+ years of team leadership or departmental management experience required. Deep understanding of water, mold, fire, and biohazard mitigation procedures and standards. Strong project management and organizational skills. Proficiency in restoration software platforms (e.g., Dash, Xactimate) and digital documentation tools. Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally to job sites.
