Mid-Level Leverage Finance Associate Attorney (New York) Direct Counsel is seeking a Mid-Level Leverage Finance Associate to join a prestigious Am Law 100 firm in New York. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in leverage finance, preferably within a top-tier law firm. This role will provide the opportunity to work on complex, high-profile transactions in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Represent clients in a variety of leverage finance transactions, including lending, acquisition finance, and restructurings.
Draft and negotiate key finance documents, including loan agreements, credit facilities, and intercreditor agreements.
Work closely with clients to provide strategic legal counsel on financing transactions.
Collaborate with teams across corporate and finance practice areas to ensure seamless legal services.
Foster and maintain strong client relationships through excellent communication and attention to client needs.
Manage a variety of matters and transactions simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy.
Qualifications:
Education: JD from an accredited law school.
Bar Admission: Licensed to practice in New York.
Experience: Minimum of 4 years of leverage finance experience, ideally at a recognized Am Law 100 firm.
Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong business judgment and attention to detail.
Work Environment:
Hybrid: Regular in-office presence with flexibility for work-from-home.
Compensation:
The firm’s expected hiring range for this position is $310,000 - $390,000 per year, depending on the candidate’s geographic location, experience, and qualifications. A comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401(k), is offered.
