Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and passionate Mid- to Upper-Level Youth Ice Hockey Coach to lead and develop players at a competitive level. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical knowledge with the ability to coach a range of skill levels, preparing players for advanced competition while maintaining a positive and disciplined team culture. This role involves planning and conducting practices, developing game strategies, and mentoring young athletes to enhance their skills both on and off the ice.

Key Responsibilities

Player Development: Teach intermediate to advanced skating, puck handling, passing, shooting, and positional play. Build training plans that develop both fundamental skills and advanced hockey IQ. Offer individualized feedback and progress tracking for each player. Team Leadership: Lead all on-ice practices, games, and off-ice training sessions. Encourage sportsmanship, commitment, and teamwork. Foster a positive environment for athletes, parents, and staff. Game Management: Create and implement game strategies appropriate for level of players. Develop special teams systems (power play, penalty kill). Adjust in-game tactics to maximize team performance. Administrative Duties: Communicate practice plans, schedules, and expectations clearly to players and families. Ensure compliance with USA Hockey guidelines, SafeSport requirements, and league rules.

Qualifications

Required: Strong grasp of hockey systems, drills, and age-appropriate development strategies. USA Hockey Coaching Certification - Level 3 or higher (or willingness to obtain). Current USA Hockey Membership & SafeSport Certification (or willingness to obtain)

Pay: $2,000.00 - $6,000.00 per year
