We are currently seeking one full-time Medical Records Clerk to join our team. Starting pay $18/hour, with opportunity for growth based on performance and experience. Schedule & work setting Monday Friday, daytime hours. This is an on-site position (not remote). What you'll do: Manage and organize patient records within our electronic health record system (EHR) Scan, upload, and file documents accurately and efficiently Process medical records requests from patients, providers, attorneys, and insurance companies Track requests, payments, and required documentation (PHI logs, spreadsheets, etc.) Respond to voicemails, calls, and internal requests promptly Fax and distribute records as requested by providers Retrieve and organize charts from off-site storage Support clinical staff by locating records quickly and accurately Maintain daily filing workflows (all work completed before the end of the day) What we're looking for: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Solid computer and data entry skills Clear, professional communication Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Dependable with consistent attendance Ability to handle confidential information with discretion (HIPAA compliance) Bonus if you have experience with: NextGen Healthcare EHR or another EHR system, medical records or healthcare office experience Work environment: fast-paced medical office, team-oriented and supportive staff, structured workflows and clear expectations. Physical requirements: sitting for extended periods, frequent computer use, ability to lift up to 25 lbs (charts, files, boxes) Why Columbus Arthritis Center?
