A respected healthcare system in the North Texas region is seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist III to lead and support overnight lab operations on a 7-on/7-off night shift. Key Responsibilities Perform and monitor a full range of laboratory tests in compliance with department protocols and regulatory standards Supervise or assist in managing nightly operations, providing guidance and mentorship to team members Maintain rigorous quality control and assurance processes, ensuring accurate and timely test reporting Perform instrument troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance with minimal supervision Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external partners to support patient care coordination Maintain inventory, safety, and infection control standards Participate in ongoing educational activities and help train or orient new lab personnel
Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelors degree in a related field OR 4+ years of relevant work experience beyond minimum qualifications Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist, including at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory capacity Certification: Must hold a valid certification from one of the following: ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) AMT (American Medical Technologists) ABHI (American Board of Histocompatibility) AAB (American Association of Bioanalysts) Grandfathered HEW licensee accepted
